India made a historic debut at the POSA World Aerial Championships 2025 in Budapest, with Vir Gahrotra securing the nation's first-ever gold medal. Gahrotra triumphed in the Junior B Men – Amateur Aerial Silks category, marking a proud moment for India's inaugural participation in the prestigious global event organized by the Pole Sports & Arts World Federation (POSA). The Indian delegation, led by an all-women team from Airbound Academy, Mumbai, comprised 17 athletes aged between 6 and 32 years, making it the youngest and largest Indian contingent to date at an international aerial event.
