These include a comprehensive review of schemes to boost electric vehicle manufacturing, an industrial incentive package for Madhya Pradesh's Bundelkhand region, the upcoming launch of the "Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore" campaign for public grievance redressal, and significant progress in settling claims under the Ayushman Bharat health scheme. Additionally, measures to strengthen the digital lending ecosystem and enhance financial awareness have been highlighted.

Government Boosts Electric Vehicle Manufacturing and Adoption

The Ministry of Heavy Industries has reviewed five major schemes aimed at accelerating electric mobility and domestic manufacturing of Electric Vehicles (EVs) in India. These initiatives include the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Automobiles and Auto Components (notified September 2021 with an outlay of Rs 25,938 crore), and another PLI scheme for Advanced Chemistry Cell (ACC) Battery Storage (June 2021, Rs 18,100 crore). Other significant schemes are the PM Electric Drive Revolution in Innovative Vehicle Enhancement (September 2024, Rs 10,900 crore) covering various EV types and charging infrastructure, the PM e-Bus Sewa-Payment Security Mechanism (October 2024, Rs 3,435.33 crore) for deploying electric buses, and the Scheme for Promotion of Manufacturing of Electric Passenger Cars in India (March 2024) which mandates substantial domestic value addition.

Madhya Pradesh Approves Major Industrial Incentive Package for Bundelkhand

The Madhya Pradesh cabinet has given its approval for a special industrial incentive package for the economically backward Bundelkhand region. This package, targeting the Maswasi Grant industrial area in the Sagar division, aims to attract investments worth Rs 24,240 crore and generate direct employment for approximately 29,000 people. Key incentives include land interest and annual land rent rates set at just Re 1 per square meter, 100% reimbursement of stamp and registration fees, and exemption from electricity charges for five years from the start of commercial production.

Nationwide 'Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore' Campaign to Enhance Public Service Delivery

A nationwide campaign titled 'Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore' (Administration Towards Villages) is set to be launched from December 19 to December 25, 2025. This initiative, part of the 5th Good Governance Week, focuses on the redressal of public grievances and improving service delivery across all districts, states, and Union Territories of India. Over 700 District Collectors are expected to participate, with officials visiting Tehsils and Panchayat Samiti Headquarters to directly address public concerns.

Ayushman Bharat Scheme Settles Over 2 Crore Claims

Under the Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY), over two crore claims, totaling more than Rs 28,000 crore, were settled in the last financial year. The scheme provides a health cover of Rs 5 lakh per family annually for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization, benefiting 12 crore families. As of October 2025, more than 42.31 crore Ayushman cards have been created, with an additional 89 lakh cards issued under the Ayushman Vay Vandana category for senior citizens.

RBI and Government Bolster Digital Lending Ecosystem

Government authorities, in collaboration with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), are actively strengthening the legal and regulatory framework for digital lending to combat unauthorized loan applications. The RBI has introduced a public directory of Digital Lending Apps (DLAs) linked to its regulated entities, facilitating the verification of legitimate platforms. Furthermore, the RBI's 2025 Digital Lending Directions enforce mandatory norms concerning recovery practices, data privacy, and grievance redressal for regulated entities, lending service providers, and DLAs. Public awareness campaigns also continue to educate citizens about digital fraud and illegal lending practices.
